HEALTH FAIR AUG 22 - CALL FOR SPONSORS

The West End Health Center is sponsoring a Community Health Fair and Back-to-School Celebration and we need your help! The health fair will consist of free medical and dental screenings (blood pressure, diabetes, etc.), health education, food, games, prizes and music. Fun activities for the children will include prizes such as bike helmets and backpacks filled with back-to-school goodies.

We are in need of sponsors for this event and we hope that you will help us to make it a success by donating any of the items listed above or funds to purchase these items.

The fair will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

“International Delight” West End Health Center’s 10th Annual 100 Men Cooking Extravaganza

The 100 Men Cooking Extravaganza is scheduled for Saturday, May 16 from 7-11 pm at the Hartwell Recreation Center (formerly Hartwell Country Club) located at 59 Caldwell Drive in Hartwell. This year’s theme is International Delight with the spotlight on culinary tastes from around the world.

Please come and indulge your taste buds with savory samplings from around the world prepared and served by local chefs and community members as they compete in this culinary contest. Treat yourself to dessert from our infamous chocolate fountain with cakes, breads and assorted fruits. It’s an evening to be enjoyed by all with wonderful food and upbeat jazz music by Bruce Menefield’s Omni Beat. In addition there will be a silent auction, chef awards and dancing.

The West End Health Center is a non-profit organization located in downtown Cincinnati, providing a broad range of high quality health care for the entire community. Proceeds from this event benefit the Pediatric Program for Asthma and Dental Care for the under and uninsured.
